HERE I AM!!!

Vstar peeks in... .sees all the cleaning going on....and runs back out screaming "Where's my maid???!!!!????"" 

HEHEHEHE!  Actually... I am a notorious cleaner.  My house is ALWAYS clean and it seems to get worse as I get older.  I do not, however, have time to clean every day.  I did once, when I wasn't working, and it drove everyone else in the house insane.  Here on Guam we have ants.  They are just everywhere.  To me, ants mean dirty.  Not so much here... but I just freak out everytime I see one... and clean the house to within an inch of its life.  Not that it does any good... they just keep coming.

It's a sunny Thursday here.  Hubby is taking the day off to play golf.  Well, sort of.  Our commanding general is leaving and they are having a golf tournament to say goodbye.  SO, he's playing golf.  Then we'll have dinner tonight with all those saying goodbye to the General as well.

A long weekend approaches.  We are planning to ride the motorcycles on Saturday, maybe out for a hamburger.  We haven't riden in a long time.  I miss the wide open roads.  Then golf on Sunday... .and maybe Monday too!!

I haven't been posting because I have been homeschooling once again. Plus I discovered PhotoShow through Road Runner, and that takes up my mornings. I have made several photo shows of different subjects...love it.

Homeschooling is different this year. I think it is a good different. The internet school changed the set up of their web site and now the teacher has alot more interaction with them. Already they have had many survey's that they needed to fill out. Last year there was very little that the teacher actually created, so this year I love giving some of my responsibility over to their master teacher. It is nice knowing that she is holding them accountable...it should help. Their teacher is also really good at making up powerpoint presentations so the kids can go through it and read what she needs to teach. Soon they will start having atleast two interactive online classes per week. So far I know about two, I am sure there will be one everyday..for now I know about Tues. and Wed. at 2:00. I talked to their teacher and she knows I walk in the mornings(if I get back into it). So I am glad she scheduled them for the 2 o'clock class instead of the 10:30 class.

Going to go fold laundry now...see ya.

Good ta' have ya' back-- praying for you, Jella! Rest all you can... Those situations are tough, and-- Thankfully!-- not often... just don't worry about it too much! You'll get back when you are ready... give yourself some time and your health will appreciate it! And--don't press yourself too hard, 4square! Home-schooling ain't fer sissies! I've sure you've got plenty to deal with here at the start, so give yourself some 'slack' till your ready to harness up into your awesome walking routine!

We're 'battening down the hatches' here in the Gulf region... Gustav? looks like a repeat of Katrina...!!! I'll Lurk when can...!!!

We are all slowing getting back online today.  Dances your new pictures are great and your house is beautiful.  I am also looking into your natural cleaning products they sounds wonderful and I love that they are concentrated so they last a long time. 

2BB: I am also amazed at your canning skills.  You have it down pat and are very organized.  What a wonderful skill and help out others in the process.   I think more of us need to be more resourceful especially in these trying financial times.  You have inspired me.  Thank you!    I have heard about Gustav approaching the Gulf and will pray that this storm does not do as much damage as Katrina.  Keep SAFE!

4SQ: Best of luck to you on the Home Schooling that's hard work, but it's nice you are able to get your walks into your hectic schedule.  My best to you and the rest of us who are tying to keep a healthy lifestyle going.  Life sometimes gets in the way of what we should do.  We just need to get back to it as soon as we can.   

In writing this I am speaking to myself  since I have been trying to be healthy and working out, but life keeps throwing me too many issues and hinders me at times. I guess I just need to be more persistent. 

Jella: Glad you are back!! 

VSTAR:  Good to here from you too!  Your weekend sounds great!  I think hearing about all that cleaning is giving me incentive to do a end of summer cleaning this weekend!!

Forks... The lot where your house sits is so beautiful!  I miss trees!  Ok, so we have trees here, but they are palm trees.  Not the same!

2bb...  I am keeping in my prayers that Gustav will peter out and not amount to anything.  My thoughts will be with you, and I hope to hear that you emerge unscathed.

4sq...  I admire you for homeschooling.  My mother did it with my brother for several years.  I just don't think I'd have the patience to make it work.

Jella... Don't worry about the last couple weeks.  I'm sure you didn't do yourself any damage and you'll just get right back on the horse.  Sometimes there are more important things than eating the right stuff.

One day closer to the weekend here, Friday morning now.  Still trying to sort out how to get everything done that I want to do.  I'm sure I'll make it work, inparticular since Monday is supposed to be rainy, which will mean staying inside.  So, I'll push back some of the indoor things until then I think.
